Richmond Flying Squirrels to host annual ‘Squirrel-O-Ween’ at The Diamond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Flying Squirrels will host its annual Halloween celebration, "Squirrel-O-Ween," at The Diamond this October, with trick-or-treating, a costume contest and more. Squirrel-O-Ween will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25 at The Diamond. Children will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat for free through the stadium. According to a spokesperson for the Flying Squirrels, there will also be hayrides around the warning track of The Diamond's playing surface. Attendees are encouraged to dress up for the chance to win prizes in the Flying Squirrels' Halloween costume contests. Winners will be selected for "Squirrelliest," "Best Group," "Best Duo," "Scariest" and "Most Creative." The Firefighters are bringing Banana Ball to the Diamond in Richmond The Flying Squirrels have also teamed up with Woofy Wellness Ranch for a "Dress like your Dog" Halloween costume contest with K-9 prizes for the winners, which will be announced at 8 p.m. Friday. According to the spokesperson, the Flying Squirrels will also have a flash sale for fans to purchase individual tickets to Opening Night on April, 4, 2025 and the Independence Day Celebration on July 3, 2025 at the ticket booths located outside of The Diamond. The flash sale is in-person and only available for fans attending Squirrel-O-Ween. Nutzy and Nutasha will also be at the event for photo opportunities with fans. Food and drinks will be available for purchase in the concession stand on the first-base side of the stadium. According to the spokesperson, free parking will be available in the lots at The Diamond.
