Richmond Flying Squirrels to host fourth annual ‘Dinner on the Infield’ event at The Diamond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Tickets are on sale for the Richmond Flying Squirrels' fourth annual "Dinner on the Infield" at The Diamond in October, with proceeds to benefit charities.

The Dinner on the Infield event will take place from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, with an Oktoberfest-themed dinner for attendees to enjoy on the infield at The Diamond.

According to a release from the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the event will feature Bavarian cuisine, live music, seasonal beers and more.

There will also be an open bar, food offerings from several Richmond restaurants, a stein-holding contest, a dance floor, raffles and silent auctions. Vegetarian food options will be available at the event.

Fans are encouraged to wear their "Oktoberfest best," including lederhosen. High heels are not allowed on the field, but wedges are permitted, according to the release.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Flying Squirrels Charities' mission to provide youth in Richmond access to athletic and educational opportunities.
