Richmond hotel named in Epstein files, alleged site of child sex trafficking
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A Richmond hotel was named in the most recent batch of investigative files on Jeffrey Epstein, with an anonymous individual claiming they and other children were taken there to be sex trafficked to the wealthy.
In recent days, the U.S. Justice Department released millions of pages of documents relating to the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, his sexual abuse of young girls and the people that he interacted with.
Among the many emails in this latest release is an email detailing a human trafficking report made by someone who claims that, when they were a child, Epstein sex trafficked them -- as well as other children -- out of the Omni Richmond hotel, which is located at 100 S. 12th Street.
The report reads as follows:
"Jeffery Epstein was bringing children to the Omni to human sex trafficking them out to rich business people. If you go to 901 E Cary St. Suite 210, Richmond, VA 23219 in the South State Bank on the top floor -- there is a housekeeping door (I think inside the mens restroom once you enter on the right). Inside this are[a] should be a crawl space in the ceiling, a water faucet and a wall on the right. The wall on the right (behind the actual wall) contains a passageway with an inscription about "Gabe" -- a human trafficking victim that Jeffery Epstein kept. I do not know what is behind the wall, but I remember as kids we were both brought to this area and trafficked in and out of the premises, along with other kids."
The tip was received through the FBI National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) Unit on Aug. 21, 2022. The email that contains it -- which is addressed to a special agent, but all identifying information and email addresses are redacted -- is dated Sept. 1, 2022.

Nothing in the email indicates whether or not these allegations were ultimately found to be credible. 8News has reached out to FBI Richmond, the DOJ and the Richmond Police Department in an effort to learn more about the investigation into this tip.
We have also reached out to Omni Hotels for a statement.
This article will be updated when possible with these additional details.
Files that the DOJ has released regarding Epstein can be found online.
