Richmond police searching for 2 suspects in $66,000 fraud thefts at Atlantic Union Bank

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department is searching for two suspects involved in several fraudulent bank transactions, totaling $66,000, that were conducted in December.

On Jan. 3, officers were contacted regarding reports of multiple fraudulent transactions that occurred at numerous Atlantic Union Bank locations -- in the Tri-Cities, Henrico County and Richmond areas -- throughout December 2024.

According to police, detectives met with bank staff and victims who were scammed out of $66,000. Two suspects involved were caught conducting these transactions on video surveillance.

Police described the suspects as a Black man and a Black woman. The woman was seen wearing a green jacket, black pants, hair in a bun and was seen carrying a laptop. The man was seen wearing a black shirt, hat and glasses, while also walking with crutches.
