Richmond Police searching for suspect in connection to identity theft and credit card fraud

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department is seeking to identify a suspect in connection to multiple instances of identity theft and credit card fraud.

The unidentified suspect is a person of interest connected to a recent report of a stolen purse outside of the city. Soon after, Third Precinct detectives told her that the suspect stole her information to withdraw cash from a bank.

The suspect was seen on surveillance cameras at a bank on 10 North Nansemond Street, where she was able to withdraw cash from the teller using stolen identification.

The suspect also allegedly used fraudulent information at 3200 West Broad Street and 2400 Fairmont Avenue.
