Richmond Public Library to host Summer Reading Finale
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- To celebrate the end of Richmond Public Library's Summer Reading Program, a festivity-filled Finale event will be hosted in early August.
Richmond Public Library's Summer Reading Program Finale will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Pine Camp Park, located at 4901 Old Brook Rd. in Richmond.
Attendees will enjoy a video game truck, crafts, music, stories and more. Organizers said a limited number of free scoops of Ruby Scoops ice cream will also be available to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.
For those who have participated in the program, there will be a drawing for prizes on Friday, Aug. 8. Grand prizes for each Richmond Public Library location include a busy book (for through 4-year-olds), a Yoto player with cards (for ages 5 through 10) and a Nintendo Switch with gift card (for ages 11 through 18).
Winners will be contacted by a member of the library's Youth Services team.
