RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The University of Richmond Spiders clinched the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) championship title after they beat William & Mary with a score of 27-0 on Saturday. On Saturday, Nov. 23, the Richmond Spiders became CAA champions after they dominated William & Mary 27-0 at Robins Stadium in the 135th meeting of the Capital Cup rivalry. Saturday's win marked the Spiders' 10th consecutive win and longest regular-season streak since 2009. The Spiders will now head to the FCS Playoffs for the third consecutive year with bracket selection to be announced later on Sunday, Nov. 24.
