Richmond street to close for rail replacement
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A Richmond street will be closed for multiple days to allow for rails to be replaced.
Dock Street at Pear Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily starting on Monday, Oct. 6 and ending on Thursday, Oct. 9 for a railway project, according to the city's Department of Public Works.
During this time, CSX will replace rails on the overhead trestle.
Cars will be routed to Main Street. However, trucks will not be allowed to use this alternative route, as there is not enough clearance under Main Street's overhead trestle.

Instead, trucks on Route 5 or Williamsburg Avenue should route to Route 360 or Interstate 95. Outbound trucks will be able to use Main Street to reach Williamsburg Road.
