Richmond’s 4th annual Book Festival returns to Lois Harrison-Jones Elementary

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond is hosting its fourth annual book festival today at Lois Harrison-Jones Elementary School. If you were in attendance today, you may have seen some familiar faces from the 8News team.

The book festival is hosted by Lois Harrison-Jones Elementary School, who says they're looking to promote literacy and bring the community together for fun and festivities which include, book sales, live music, concessions, a raffle, silent auction and more.

The school has currently raised $5,467 and is still accepting donations until April 21 to help support their goal of raising $10,000 with all proceeds from the event going towards Lois Harrison-Jones PTA.

The event is free for all attendees, with the auction portion of the festival running from March 28 to April 21 at 9 p.m. Event goers will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle until April 21 9a.m., the draw date will be April 21 at 10 a.m.
