Rise Academy to host East End Block Party in Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Rise Academy is excited to announce that it will be hosting The East End Block Party on May 24.
The East End Block Party will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, at 2010 Carlisle Ave.
The event promises to be a vibrant celebration of Richmond’s East End, bringing together the community for an afternoon filled with food, music and entertainment.
“Now more than ever, we need to invest in our communities here at home,” says Dr. Brittany Lopes, Rise Academy’s Executive Director. “When you shift your focus to the people you interact with daily, or the neighborhood you live in, you’re going to see light and hope. That’s what this block party is about–it’s a reminder of the joy found right here in Richmond."
According to Rise Academy, this year’s block party highlights a special lineup of activities and performances--featuring remarks from Richmond’s own Mayor, Danny Avula.
The day will also feature celebration of Rise Academy's Class of 2025 with music from the renowned Deejay Mockingbird. Guests can also enjoy delicious food from local favorites, Jus Cukn and Sweet Temptations.
In addition to great food and music, the event will include family-friendly games and activities, making it a fun-filled day for all ages.
