Road closed in Henrico County after crash damages power pole

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Following a single-vehicle crash on Evergreen Road in Henrico County, a downed power pole has caused a section of the road to close. On Tuesday, Nov. 5, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to a single-vehicle crash on Evergreen Road near Nine Mile Road in the county's East End. All people inside the vehicle were checked and released at the scene by responders with the Henrico County Division of Fire. Police said that a power pole was damaged in the crash. Until repairs can be made by Dominion Energy, Evergreen Road will be closed from Nine Mile Road to the Richmond City line "for the next several hours." Drivers are asked to find alternative routes.
