RVA Community Fridges asks for homemade ornament donations

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Local artists and crafters are being called upon by RVA Community Fridges to donate homemade ornaments ahead of the holiday season.

The mutual aid organization sent out a call for submissions on Instagram, asking people to place ornaments on their tree at Studio23, located at 109 W 15th St., starting Monday, Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Those that donate other items to RVA Community Fridges -- including canned goods or gifts -- will receive one of the ornaments in exchange.

This announcement comes nearly a week before the organization's Winter Market, which runs from Nov. 28 to Dec. 23.
