RVA Community Fridges to host Community Cook Day

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- RVA Community Fridges, a mutual aid organization, is set to host a Community Cook Day on Tuesday, offering people a chance to help those in need across Richmond.

Community Cook Day will take place on Tuesday, July 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Matchbox Mutual Aid, located at 2919 North Ave.

People have the option to sign up for two shifts -- prepping and cooking and cleaning, portioning and distribution. Those planning on attending are encouraged to bring containers and ingredients if they can.

The menu for this cook day is lemonade, turkey and cheese sandwiches and pasta bean salad.
