Section of Midlothian Turnpike to be closed for three weeks
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A section of Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond will be closed for three weeks due to road construction projects.
Beginning on Friday, June 6 through Friday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., intermittent lane closures will be placed on Midlothian Turnpike between East 37th Street and Richmond High School for the Arts.
According to the City of Richmond's Department of Public Works, the road work is part of the Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper project, where contractors will be installing flex posts, a curb pedestrian island, new pavement markings and road lane reduction.
