Severe thunderstorm warnings issued for parts of Central Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Multiple severe thunderstorm warnings for the Central Virginia area have been issued by the National Weather Service.
A warning will be in effect until 8:15 p.m. and has been issued to the following counties:
- Northwestern King and Queen County
- Northwestern Richmond County
- Westmoreland County
- Northeastern Caroline County
- Northwestern Essex County
A second warning will also be in effect until 9 p.m. and has been issued to the following cities and counties:
- Northampton County
- Southern Greensville County
- The City of Emporia
- Southwestern Southampton County
- South central Brunswick County
People can expect damage to trees and powerlines.
