Severe thunderstorm warnings issued for some Central Virginia localities, others under watch
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for some Central Virginia localities Monday night, while several others are under severe thunderstorm watch.
The following Central Virginia localities are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 11:45 p.m. Monday:
- Charles City County
- Chesterfield County
- Colonial Heights
- Dinwiddie County
- Henrico County
- Hopewell
- New Kent County
- Petersburg
- Prince George County
- Sussex County
A severe thunderstorm warning means a severe thunderstorm was located in or near the impacted localities.

Several other Central Virginia localities will be under a severe thunderstorm watch until 1 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, including:
- Albemarle County
- Amelia County
- Buckingham County
- Cumberland County
- Caroline County
- Goochland County
- Fluvanna County
- Hanover County
- Louisa County
- Orange County
- Powhatan County
- Richmond
A severe thunderstorm watch means a severe thunderstorm is possible in the impacted localities based on forecasted weather conditions.
