Snag a free ride in Richmond during National Bike to Work Week

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- RVA Bikeshare will offer free electric bike rides to lucky bicyclists during National Bike to Work Week.

RVA Bikeshare provides electric bikes for community use, with 20 self-service stations available across the city. It is a program offered through the city's Department of Public Works (DPW).

To get Richmonders excited about using alternative transportation, RVA Bikeshare will give out 50 free rides a day during National Bike to Work Week, which is May 12 to May 18.

To get one of these free rides, check out RVA Bikeshare's Instagram or X accounts each day for a new promotional code. The first 50 users to redeem that day's code will unlock a free 45-minute ride.

VCU tuition to increase by 2.5%, fees to go up by $200

You must have an account with RVA Bikeshare to redeem the code.

"This special promotion celebrates eco-friendly commuting and provides Richmonders with a fun, healthy way to bike to work, run a quick errand or take a scenic ride around the city," a spokesperson for the DPW said.
