(WRIC) -- A local sporting goods store, Soccer Post Chesterfield, will be moving in at the up-and-coming "The Lake" development -- otherwise described as "the world's largest surf park." The Lake, which developers plan to open in Fall 2024, is a highly-anticipated work in progress located near the River City Sportsplex off of Genito Road near Route 288 in Chesterfield County. The property spans 100 acres which, upon the project's completion, will become home to a mixed-use attraction with a surf park at its focal point. In recent months, Soccer Post Chesterfield announced the closure of its Hull Street store in preparation for a move to The Lake.
