StormTracker 8: Comfortably cool tonight; Awesome Monday ahead

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - I hope you’ve had a chance to go outside on this glorious Sunday across Central Virginia!

Our Sunday night into Monday morning, features lots of clear skies overnight, the winds diminishing and comfortably cool temperatures, getting down to around 45 degrees. Areas to the north and west of Richmond could get down to as low as 40 degrees by Monday morning.

Monday will be an awesome weather day tomorrow under lots of sunny skies and high temperatures, rising into the middle to upper 70s with continued low humidity levels, just like our spectacular Sunday.

Tuesday will bring us partly sunny skies, warmer afternoon temperatures, rising into the lower to middle 80s and breezy conditions from time to time.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for this new work week ahead all bring an afternoon and evening shower and thunderstorm chance with them. Heavy downpours, gusty winds, thunder, lightning and small hail are all possible with any storms that develop across the region on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon, and Friday afternoon.

Aside from the shower and storm chance during the second half of this new work week ahead, we will see well above average afternoon temperatures, rising well into the 80s, with much more humidity around as well.

Next weekend and next Monday, preliminarily, right now, all call for lots of sunshine and comfortable temperatures next weekend before it warms up quickly again for next Monday.
