StormTracker 8: Freeze Warnings tonight
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Freeze Warnings are in effect overnight for almost the entire area (including locations where the growing season has not “officially” started yet) as we are headed down into the mid to upper 20s outside of the city and around 30 in the city.
Again, the main concerns are going to be for agricultural areas to the west of us where last week’s heat may have caused some of the blossoms in the orchards to bloom.
Tomorrow will be sunny over us with a few clouds by late in the day as highs warm back into the mid to upper 50s.
Thursday, a cold front will start to move in from the west. Skies will be partly sunny with a chance of showers by late in the afternoon/early evening. Highs will be back into the 60s.
We have some disagreements in the models on Friday. However, they do indicate that you can expect an upper-level storm system near us, which would support a rainy day over the area.
For the weekend, expect a mixture of sun and clouds. Saturday will be a little breezy and around 60 which is good for the runners in the Monument Ave. 10-k. Sunday will be a little bit warmer.
Things will heat up next week over us as we head back up to near 80. However as we head towards Easter Weekend, there are signs of a system come our way that could bring us rainy and chilly weather.
