StormTracker 8: Showers cleaning out overnight; beautiful Monday ahead

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Sunday night into Monday morning, calls for the ongoing showers and some thunderstorms to be ending around Midnight tonight altogether, if not sooner, with decreasing clouds overnight and continued mild conditions with temperatures only falling back down to 45 to 50 degrees by Monday morning, and the winds to be subsiding as well. Monday will be a nice day for outdoor activities, under mostly sunny skies and mild afternoon temperatures, rising to 60 to 65 degrees. Tuesday is New Year’s Eve Day, and another storm system will be sweeping through Central Virginia, bringing our next rain shower chance during the PM hours. We will see partly cloudy skies and continued mild conditions on Tuesday with highs in the middle 60s. Wednesday is New Year’s Day, and we will see cooler conditions with highs 50 to 55 degrees, under partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions from time to time. Thursday and Friday will be seasonable, with high temperatures on these days rising to 45 to 50 degrees under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions from time to time. Next weekend will be quite chilly, with well below average afternoon temperatures, struggling to get out of the 30s. Also, I put “watching" and "closely” for next Sunday and next Monday, as I’m seeing the possibility in the latest computer weather model data of snow flurries happening. Stay tuned. Also the week of January 6th, so next week, is looking particularly very chilly.
