StormTracker 8: Tropical Depression Chantal brings scattered showers & T’Storms
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Tropical depression Chantal will slowly move out of North Carolina and into Virginia by early Monday morning this will keep us under tropical moisture and therefore the risk of scattered showers and storms for the next 24 hours.
For tonight look for scattered showers and storms but it will not rain 100% of the time and it will be a very humid night with lows in the lower to middle 70s.
Monday we will start off with that risk of scattered showers and storms and we'll keep that in through the early afternoon otherwise we will see partly sunny skies and it will be very warm and humid with highs in the middle 80s.
The heat and humidity will begin to build back on Tuesday as we climb into the lower 90s under partly sunny skies and there could be a couple of hit or miss storms later in the afternoon and evening.
Looking ahead to Wednesday and Thursday we will remain in the lower 90s under partly sunny skies, and we will have that chance for a few isolated thunderstorms each afternoon.
In fact, that forecast is going to hold for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with partly sunny skies along with hot and humid conditions with highs near 90 and that chance for a few isolated storms in the afternoon and evening.
