StormTracker8: Another cold night Monday night into Tuesday morning

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – After our coldest morning we have seen in a very long time on Monday morning, we will see another cold morning on the way for us on Tuesday. More on that below.

Tonight’s forecast for this Monday night into Tuesday morning, calls for mostly clear to clear skies and cold temperatures, getting down to 20 to 25 degrees. Some isolated locations may dip back into the upper teens by Tuesday morning.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies tomorrow and chilly temperatures, rising to 40 to 45 degrees.

Tomorrow night into Wednesday morning, thankfully won’t be as cold as it has been lately, with temperatures dipping down closer to 30 degrees that overnight.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for increasing clouds, leading to mostly cloudy skies and highs 50 to 55 degrees.

Thursday is when we will see our next weather system approach us and sweep through the Commonwealth by Thursday night, bringing in scattered rain showers during the afternoon through the overnight hours, and highs near 60 degrees.

Friday to end out this work week, will be a cooler day, but better than our Sunday and Monday (today) temperature wise, with highs around 50 degrees, under mostly sunny skies. I can’t rule out an isolated shower or two on Friday morning.

Looking ahead to the upcoming weekend, which is the weekend before Christmas, we will see a cold start on Saturday, leading to a cool finish, with highs 45 to 50 degrees under partly sunny skies. Sunday, which is the Winter Solstice, calls for some isolated afternoon rain showers and highs around 50 degrees.

Looking ahead to next week, which is Christmas week, we will see mostly cloudy skies both Monday and Tuesday, and cooler temperatures, in the 40s, with dry conditions.
