RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – It's a cool fall morning and we will have a cool fall afternoon. Highs today will be in the mid 60s and skies will be clear.

Tonight is expected to be the coldest night of the season so far. Lows in metro Richmond will be near 42°, and locations south and west are forecast to reach the 30s. Jackets will be needed for your Friday morning wakeup!

Highs on Friday will be in the mid 60s. Saturday highs will be in the low 70s, and clouds will slowly increase through the day. Sunday highs will be in the low 70s as well, and a cold front will approach the region Sunday afternoon. Showers will start in the late afternoon, and the best rain chances will be overnight Sunday.

Monday highs will be in the upper 60s, then Tuesday night we may see another weak cold front. If we get any rain, it looks to be overnight Tuesday into Wednesday of next week.

We will see sunny skies on Thursday and Friday and it will be a couple of perfect fall days with highs in the middle 60s.
