StormTracker8: Frigid night with wind chill 0 to -10
Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- Clear skies to be with us for this evening and tonight and it will become frigid by early Tuesday morning with lows around 5 but when you factor in the wind, wind chills will run from 0 to 10 below.
Tuesday will feature mostly sunny skies, and it will remain cold with highs in the upper 20s and the wind chills will stay in the upper teens and lower 20s for the majority of the day.
Wednesday will also be partly sunny and continued cold with highs in the upper 20s.
Mostly sunny skies will be with us for Thursday with highs in the middle 20s.
Clouds will increase on Friday with highs near 25.
Those clouds that increase are part of what might be another snowstorm heading our way for Saturday and Sunday. Right now, our longer-range weather models are showing the possibility of a piece of energy dropping into the Gulf and then swinging through Northern Florida and developing a new storm off the South Carolina and North Carolina coastline.
The exact track of that storm will determine whether we get snow, or the system might be too far to the East and could move out to see. Of course, there isn’t perfect agreement on these models at this time so to tell you exactly how much we're going to get at this point would be irresponsible. So right now, we will call for the chance of snow for both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the upper 20s.
Looking ahead to next week mostly sunny skies will return with highs in the lower to middle 30s for Monday and Tuesday.
