StormTracker8: Light snow possible today through early Friday afternoon
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Our active December weather pattern we have been seeing since the start of this month, will continue through early next work week. Details below.
Today’s forecast, this Friday, calls for a light snow chance, as a Clipper Weather System slides through the Mid Atlantic Region and overall snowfall accumulations are expected to be very low at best, due to the quick hitting nature of this situation and the lack of moisture in place as well. Highs this afternoon will rise into the middle to upper 30s.
Any ongoing light snow is expected to end between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. this afternoon altogether.

Tonight’s forecast for this Friday night into Saturday morning, will bring us mostly cloudy skies overnight and cold temperatures, getting down into the middle to upper 20s.
Saturday’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and cool temperatures, rising to 45 to 50 degrees.
Saturday night into Sunday morning is when we will see our next weather system approach us from our west and northwest and come Sunday morning, we could be in for some light snow showers possible and temperatures are expected to tumble throughout the day on Sunday, with highs in the lower to middle 30s before dropping heading into our Sunday night.
Monday will be a cold day, under mostly sunny skies, and highs only in the lower to middle 30s.
Tuesday of next work week, is when we begin the warming trend and we will see mostly sunny skies and highs around 45 degrees.
Finally, next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will all be back to average to above average temperature wise and night showers are possible next Thursday night.
