StormTracker8: Saturday Soaker; Sunny Sunday but windy
Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- We will have a few showers throughout the overnight but by early Saturday morning steady rain will move into Central Virginia. Our overnight lows will fall into the middle 50s.
Saturday will be a soaker of a day with rain steady to possibly heavy at times in the morning tapering off to showers by Saturday evening. It will be a mild day with highs around 60.
Showers are likely Saturday night into the early morning hours on Sunday until that weather system moves to the east and then we start to see clouds break apart by early Sunday morning. Our overnight lows into Sunday morning will fall into the lower 50s.
Sunday will feature partly sunny skies and it will turn windy and cooler with highs from 50 to 55.
Monday will be a sunny day and seasonable day with highs in the upper 40s.
Mostly sunny skies will be with this on Tuesday with highs near 55.
Wednesday will feature partly sunny skies with highs again in the middle 50s.
Looking ahead to Thursday there are signs that we could see a weather system develop along the coast and this is something we will need to watch. Some of our weather models keep this as a cold rainy system, while others make it more of a wintry mix. Right now, it is way too early to make a call either way as we have to see how the storm will develop and the amount of cold air that it might or might not pull down into it. At this point our high temperatures will be around 40.
Looking ahead to the end of the week partly sunny skies should develop for Friday and Saturday with highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
