StormTracker8: Warm and Muggy Monday; Isolated Storms Possible
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – It's a pleasant morning with most of us near 70° with some patchy fog here and there. A stray shower is possible this morning, but we will have a better shot at isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Those south of I-64 will be most likely to catch a rumble of thunder. Highs today will be in the mid 80s.
Overnight lows will drop to near 70°, and tomorrow's highs will warm to the upper 80s. The warming trend will continue this week, with high in the low 90s for the latter half of the week. Isolated thunderstorms could be possible every day as the heat and humidity ramps back up.
This weekend will be warm, but we may lose the daily storm chances. Humidity could drop with a weak front at the end of the week.
TRACKING THE TROPICS: We have two areas of interest in the Atlantic. One has a low chance for development and it really of no concern.
The area with a high chance for development is one the East Coast will be watching closely for the next 7-10 days. We are still so far out for knowing for certain where this soon-to-be-named tropical storm will go, so be careful about what you see on social media.
