StormTracker8: Warm October weather through Tuesday
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – After our awesome Saturday across Central Virginia yesterday, we will continue to see our slow and steady warming trend over the next few days before our next weather system sweeps through by Wednesday of the new work week ahead. Details below.
Watch out for isolated patchy fog this Sunday morning until 9:00 a.m. or so, as you are heading out the door for morning plans today.
Today’s forecast for this Sunday will bring us mostly sunny skies, warm October temperatures, rising into the lower 80s and the humidity levels starting to increase, as our high pressure over the region slides eastward into the western Atlantic Ocean.
Tonight’s forecast for this Sunday night into Monday morning, will bring us mostly clear skies overnight and not as cool temperatures, dipping down into the middle 50s.
Monday’s forecast to kick off the new work and school week, will bring us partly sunny skies, highs rising into the lower 80s, and the humidity levels continuing to increase.
Tuesday’s forecast calls for increasing clouds leading to mostly cloudy skies overall, ahead of our next weather system on the way middle of this week. Highs in the lower 80s, the humidity continues to increase, and we will see scattered showers developing by Tuesday evening and Tuesday night.
Wednesday we will see our next weather system sweep through the state of Virginia, bringing us beneficial scattered showers throughout the day, along with a possible thunderstorm or two in the afternoon hours, turning a bit breezy from time to time as well and highs around 75 degrees.
Thursday and Friday to end the work week this week will be cool for this time of year with highs only in the upper 60s, under mostly sunny to partly sunny skies.
Preliminarily, next weekend, is looking good both days, under partly sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s.
TRACKING THE TROPICS – We are continuing to monitor this tropical disturbance out in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, that has a 70% formation chance in the next 7 days of becoming our next tropical depression if not tropical storm as it heads westbound.
