StormTracker8: Warm Wednesday; Rain chances to end the day Thursday
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- We’re expecting our warmest day of the month thus far, with highs forecast to reach the mid 50s. Cloud cover will increase throughout the day.
Tomorrow morning lows will be near freezing and highs will return to the mid 50s. Rain chances tomorrow will begin isolated around 4pm in increase through the evening. Widespread rain is expected from 10pm to 2am, with rain chances dwindling through Friday morning. An isolated shower or two could be leftover by sunrise, but very few will have issues with precipitation for your Friday morning commute. Roadways could be slick for the first part of Friday.
Friday will be pleasant, with skies clearing and highs in the mid 50s. This weekend will be nice, with highs in the 50s both days and few clouds.
We’ll start off next week on a slightly cooler note, with highs in the upper 40s and lows near 30. Wednesday, Christmas Eve, will be cloudy, and we could see showers Christmas Eve night. The Christmas Day forecast remains uncertain. There is no general consensus with long range models, but there is a possibility we could see an above normal day in terms of temperatures. Highs could be in the low 60s. Right now, the forecast trend keeps Christmas Day dry. We’ll keep you updated here day by day as the forecast comes into view.
