StormTracker8: Warmer temperatures on the way through Wednesday

Richmond, Va (WRIC) -- Temperatures today will reach above freezing and be in the upper 30s. Mostly sunny skies will be overhead and a few more clouds will roll in overnight with lows dipping down into the mid 20s.

Tuesday is the return of seasonable weather! We will see highs in the mid 50s under partly sunny skies. More clouds will be with us on Wednesday but we will continue to see temperatures in the mid 50s.

Another cold front will sweep through Central Virginia and bring our highs back down into the 40s for the remainder of the week.

We are closely watching this upcoming weekend where signs are pointing to a significant storm that could potentially head toward the Mid-Atlantic. It is still too early to determine the exact track of this system and what it will bring. It looks like many folks could receive a cold rain and for some in the northern Shenandoah Valley some snow as well. There are still several days to watch how this storm will possibly develop. As weather patterns change we will have a better idea of what to expect for Valentine's Day weekend.
