Super Mario Bros fans celebrate National Mario Day Monday

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Today, March. 10 marks National Mario Day by Super Mario Bros fans, and to celebrate JetBlue and Nintendo have partnered together on a custom painted air craft featuring Mario and friends.

To stay on theme The Airbus A320 aircraft has been renamed the "Cloudtop Cruiser" and restyled featuring bright colorful designs featuring Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser and Donkey Kong.

The inside of the aircraft features Mario and his Mushroom Kingdom pals on the plane's seatback touchscreens.

Mario and Princess Peach will also be at JFK airport to greet travelers as they board the customized plane.

Nintendo is also hosting a Nintendo Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Community Challenge happening March 17.

The challenge will feature players joining forces to try and finish one-million combined laps in the game to achieve a bonus of 310 My Nintendo Platinum Points, and are also offering discounts on Mario Bros titles and the Nintendo Switch.
