Suspect arrested after man shot multiple times on Route 1 in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man has been arrested and charged after a man was shot multiple times on Route 1 in Chesterfield County on Friday.
Just after 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 12600 block of Route 1 for a report of a person shot.
When they arrived, officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
On Saturday, Sept. 6, the Chesterfield County Police Department said Jerry Robinson Jr. was arrested shortly after the shooting.
He has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
