Sussex County Animal Services shelter reaches capacity

SUSSEX COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Sussex County Animal Services has announced that its shelter is at capacity.

In a social media post by the shelter on Wednesday, April 2, it said the shelter was at capacity after intaking several animals, and more intakes are scheduled during the week.

Among those intakes are dogs from a recent court case, the shelter said.

With this in mind, Sussex County Animal Service is asking for support from the community. Anyone who is considering adopting, transferring or fostering is asked to reach out to the shelter.

As of April 2, the following dogs were available for adoption, according to the shelter:

The shelter is located at 14493 Robinson Road in the Stony Creek area of Sussex County.
