The Freckled Flower Farm hosts Pick Your Own Flowers and Farmers Market

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Freckled Flower Farm in Hanover County will host a Farmer's Market Friday evening, where you can peruse local goodies and pick your own flowers.

From 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16, attendees at the flower farm, located at 18065 Mountain Road in the county's Montpelier area, can check out produce and goods from local farmers, artisans and bakers. Entry to the market is free.

In addition, you can pick a bouquet of flowers, with options of Icelandic poppies, cornflower, corncockle, sweet William, delphinium, Canterbury bells and more.

Small bouquets are $30, and large bouquets are $60, according to the flower farm's website.

When you're finished picking your flowers, they'll be wrapped up for you to take home, or water will be added to a bucket or vase you bring to take them home.

The market will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Fridays through Sept. 12, and from 4 to 7 p.m. on Fridays from Sept. 19 through Oct. 31.
