Three charged with murder after man stabbed to death in Richmond restaurant

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Three people have been charged with murder after a 42-year-old man was stabbed to death in a Richmond restaurant in early February.

Just before midnight on Thursday, Feb. 6, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to Lemon Cuisine of India, located at 3215 West Broad St., for report of a person stabbed.

When they arrived, officers found 42-year-old Kyron Fowlkes of Richmond down in the restaurant's kitchen with a stab wound. He died at the scene.

Police previously told 8News that an argument between customers led to the stabbing.

In the following weeks, police arrested three suspects and charged all of them with Fowlkes' murder. The first of those was 34-year-old Shaquan Peterson, who was arrested on Feb. 9.

The second suspect, 30-year-old Keith Burgess of Chesterfield County, was arrested on Feb. 21. Then, on Feb. 24, officers arrested 27-year-old Darry Fitzgerald of Richmond.
