Three suspects arrested in connection to Hanover fire station larcenies
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Hanover County Sheriff's Office has arrested three suspects in connection to reported larcenies at a fire station in Doswell. At 1:27 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, Hanover deputies responded to the 16200 block of Washington Highway in Doswell for the report of several vehicles with windows broken at Hanover Fire and EMS' Station 4. According to the sheriff's office, deputies arrived and located several vehicles that had been entered by the suspects and a suspect vehicle was identified. Shortly after, Hanover deputies found the same suspect vehicle in the area of Chamberlayne Road and Atlee Road. According to officials, deputies then conducted a traffic stop and three suspects were identified -- two adults and a juvenile. The sheriff's office said the names of the suspects are being withheld at this time due to pending investigations in multiple jurisdictions, however, the two adults were taken into custody and transported to Pamunkey Regional Jail, and a detainer has been sought for the juvenile. According to the sheriff's office, the investigation into this incident was part of a large multi-jurisdictional effort between police agencies in Henrico County, Chesterfield County, Richmond, Colonial Heights, Petersburg and Spotsylvania County. "Without their efforts and contributions, we would not have achieved the successful resolution we reached this morning," a release from Hanover County Sheriff's Office said. "Through thorough police work and excellent communication, we were able to identify and take action on a group that has had a significant impact on the Fire and EMS first responder community."
