Tractor-trailer crash spills wood chippings along roadway in Brunswick County

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A detour was set up after a tractor-trailer resulted in wood chippings spilling across a road in Brunswick County on Friday. Around 5:15 a.m. on Jan. 31, Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle tractor-trailer crash at 3048 Reedy Creek Road. Tractor-trailer crash in Brunswick County. (Courtesy of Virginia State Police) According to police, the driver of the tractor-trailer, Samuel Lee Morris, lost control of the vehicle and overcorrected causing the trailer, loaded with wood chippings, to overturn. Morris was not charged or injured in the crash, according to police. All lanes have now been reopened.

According to police, the driver of the tractor-trailer, Samuel Lee Morris, lost control of the vehicle and overcorrected causing the trailer, loaded with wood chippings, to overturn.

Morris was not charged or injured in the crash, according to police.

All lanes have now been reopened.
