Trail Ride Festival for Autism coming to Science Museum of Virginia
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got to speak with several special guests on Thursday to talk about the upcoming Trail Ride Festival for Autism coming to the Science Museum of Virginia this weekend.
Anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall spoke with Kimberly Knight and Kesha Dabney -- two community members involved with the JPJF Trail Ride Festival for Autism -- as they helped showcase what people can expect at the event.

"We are going to be coming out to continue to spread awareness for the JP Jumpers Foundation," Knight said. "Normally we have a Light It Up Blue event, but this year we decided to do something a little different -- we're going to put our boots on the ground!"
The JP Jumpers Foundation is a nonprofit organization that aims to raise awareness for the special needs community, offering free events and resources for those in the Richmond area.

Armed with fans and a cheerful attitude, the anchors joined in as several individuals involved with the foundation gave viewers a taste of the line dancing routines people will be able to participate in alongside food trucks, face painting and more.
The festival itself will take place from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at the Science Museum of Virginia, and it is free for all to attend -- people can even attend virtually if they can't make it in person.
