Train hits and kills person on Walmsley Boulevard in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating after one person was hit by a train and killed on Sunday.
Police responded to the scene near the 2900 block of Walmsley Boulevard at 4:16 p.m. on Aug. 10.
According to police, a train was traveling south and hit a man on the tracks between Walmsley Boulevard and Castlewood Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials added that due to the incident, Walmsley Boulevard was temporarily closed between Willesden Road and Caldwell Avenue.
