Two adults dead, 2 children hospitalized after Albemarle house fire
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two adults are dead and two children are in the hospital after a house fire in Albemarle County on Sunday.
At about 7:09 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, first responders with Albemarle County Fire Rescue and the Albemarle County Police Department were called to a home on Starry Sky Lane in the Keswick area for report of a structure fire.
Police arrived within two minutes and found a two-story home pouring smoke from its second floor. A neighbor was searching for the home's residents.
Shortly after, firefighters arrived and began fighting the fire while also searching the home and providing medical care. A total of four residents were found inside.

Ashley and Stephen Williams -- both 37 years old and both of Albemarle County -- were taken to a local hospital, where they later died.
The other two impacted residents, both children, were also hospitalized. Fire officials said one of them is in critical condition.
A dog was also found dead in the home.
The Albemarle County Fire Marshal's Office determined that the cause of this fire was accidental in nature.

"The Albemarle County Fire Marshal's Office is working with the American Red Cross and Albemarle County Public Schools to ensure support services are provided to affected families and the school community," fire officials said.
Fire officials reminded residents to test their smoke alarms regularly. Those who may need help checking or installing their smoke alarm, or who cannot afford one, can contact Albemarle County Fire Rescue.
