Two men seriously hurt after crashing into tree in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two men are seriously hurt after police say they crashed into a tree in Henrico County late Thursday night.

Just after 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, officers with the Henrico County Police Division were called to the 500 block of Hanover Avenue for report of a single-vehicle crash.

When they arrived, officers found a vehicle that had run off the road and hit a tree.

According to police, two men were inside the car at the time of the crash.

They were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

As of the time of reporting, Hanover Avenue in the area of the crash remains closed so that a tow truck can come by to pick up the involved car. A police spokesperson said this closure should be lifted shortly.
