Two more families settle with Henrico NICU after babies were hurt, neglected, totaling 11 settlements
SALEM, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico Doctors’ Hospital has settled with two more families whose babies were injured or experienced other forms of neglect while in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), totaling eleven families who have reached settlements.
Two families settled in Salem Circuit Court with Henrico Doctors’ Hospital on Wednesday, July 9, after their babies were injured or experienced other forms of neglect while in the hospital’s NICU, according to the Salem Court clerk’s office.
As of reporting, these made for a total of eleven families who have reached settlements with the hospital.
These settlements are the result of civil suits filed on behalf of multiple families against HCA Healthcare, which operates the hospital.
These are reportedly expected to be the last of the settlements, according to the Salem Court clerk's office.
