Two people found shot dead during Richmond welfare check

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond officers found two people shot dead when conducting a welfare check Tuesday afternoon.

At about 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 3700 block of Angela Drive to conduct a welfare check.

When they arrived, they found a man and a woman inside a structure, each with a gunshot wound. They both died at the scene.

"Detectives are not looking for any suspects at this time," police said.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. No further details are available as of the time of reporting.
