‘Undertale: The Determination Symphony Concert’ adds Altria Theater to world tour
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The monster-fighting, role-playing video game "Undertale" is bringing fan-favorite music to Richmond's Altria Theater this fall.
Organizers announced on Friday, March 27, that "Undertale: The Determination Symphony Concert" has added the Altria Theater to its world tour. The production will treat fans and gamers to an evening of live music on Oct. 21.
The symphony concert features newly arranged music from the game, performed live by a 25-piece orchestra. Gameplay footage will be on display on a screen above the stage, bringing the audience into an immersive "Undertale" world.
The indie game was released in 2015 by creator Toby Fox. Gamers play as a human who has fallen into the Underground, fighting monsters and navigating the strange land to find a path home.
From the Ruins and Snowdin to Waterfall, Hotland and New Home, concertgoers will have a chance to see iconic characters and battles and experience emotional moments from the game, per a release.
"UNDERTALE is a game with a lot of music, it's good when skilled professionals play the music and people listen to it," Fox said in the release.
Tickets go on sale to the public on March 31 at 10 a.m. You can purchase tickets online via Altria Theater or call Etix at 800-514-3849. Folks looking to get tickets in person can do so at the Altria Theater Box Office, 6 N. Laurel St.
