VCUarts Theatre presents ‘The Wild Party’
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The VCUarts Theatre is presenting a musical adaptation of the 1920s poem "The Wild Party" in April.
Performances of Joseph Moncue March’s 1928 poem of the same name, “The Wild Party" will run from Friday, April 18, to Sunday, April 27, at the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, located on 922 Park Ave.
Directed by Wes Seals, "The Wild Party" by Andrew Lippa takes place in the 1920s for a New York night in a Manhattan apartment, where vaudevillian performers and couple, Queenie and Burrs stay.
An announcement from VCU on Thursday, March 27, shared that the musical adaptation will be filled with jealousy, violence, excess and indulgence, earning the name, “party to end all parties."
Tickets are $30, with discounts available for students and those part of the VCU community and can be purchased online, in-person or by calling 804-828-2020. The box office is now cashless, so tickets must be purchased with a debit or credit card.
