Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to host Art After Hours celebrating Frida Kahlo

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) will host a nighttime Art After Hours event on Saturday in celebration of Frida Kahlo.

From 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, attendees will be able to enjoy a party with live music, performances, light food, after-hours access to the museum and its "Frida: Beyond the Myth" exhibition, plus guided tours of the exhibition.

Exhibition tours will be held every 30 minutes at 7:30, 8, 8:30 and 9 p.m., according to the VMFA. Space is limited.

The event features host Kelli Lemon and DJ Lonnie B, with music provided by Sounds Funny Band, featuring Micah "Bam-Bamm" White and Latin rhythms by guest vocalist Friday Love.

Attendees can also enjoy performances by salsa dancers, selfie stations and more.

Tickets are $50 per member, or $60 for general admission. Visitors must be 21 or older to attend.
