Virginia State Police investigating officer-involved shooting in Fluvanna
FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police (VSP) is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Fluvanna County. According to a release from the Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office, on Friday, Oct. 11, Fluvanna County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 400 block of Gravel Hill Road, near the intersection of Route 15 and Route 6, for a report of a domestic disturbance. "While conducting the investigation and sweep for a wanted individual, the deputies were engaged in an officer-involved shooting," the release read. The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office did not provide any other information about the situation, such as who may have been shot or the extent of any injuries.
