VMHC to host screening of ‘National Treasure’ with live myth busting
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia Museum of History and Culture (VMHC) will host a showing of parts of "National Treasure" on Dec. 19, complete with live commentary and "myth busting."
The showing of "National Treasure" will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, and tickets include after-hours access to the VMHC's signature VA250th exhibition, "Give Me Liberty: Virginia & The Forging of a Nation."
According to the museum, wraps, sandwiches, salads, snacks (including popcorn) and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase from the museum café.
The movie is rated PG. Due to the movie’s running time, VMHC staff will fast-forward through certain sections to facilitate discussion. It is suggested that attendees watch the movie on their own before attending the event.
Participants are welcome to arrive early between 5 and 6 p.m. to explore the exhibition or grab a drink in the museum café.
The screening, with live commentary, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., according to the museum.
