Water main break caused some Richmond residents to lose water service
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A water main break in Richmond's Museum District caused some homes to lose water service Sunday morning. At 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, Richmond Council Member Andrew Breton reported on X that a water main break at North Nansemond Street and Hanover Avenue caused some homes to lose water service. Crews with the Department of Public Utilities were reportedly on site since 4 a.m. on Sunday, according to Breton. At around 8:30 a.m., Breton reported that the water main break had been fixed. Water was reportedly back on at 11:14 a.m., with crews flushing and purging the air out of the water mains at that time.
